Browser Requirements

University of Maryland, Baltimore web sites and homepage (see more information about this site) are designed for use with 800 x 600 or higher resolution and the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. If you currently use older versions of these browsers (including Internet Explorer 3.0 or earlier, Netscape Navigator 3.0 or earlier and AOL 3.0 or earlier), you may experience technical difficulties navigating and viewing materials.

We recommend downloading Microsoft IE 4.0 or later, or Netscape Navigator 4.7 or later to fully experience our site.

Some websites that contain confidential information require that you use a browser that is SSL-compliant and has a "secure mode." (To make sure your browser is secure, look for a closed lock or an unbroken key at the bottom of the page.) You must also have JavaScript enabled in your browser's preferences.

If you continue to access our site with a browser other than those recommended above parts of the websites may not work properly. We suggest you check with your organization's network administrator or technical support for assistance first. If you need to upgrade yourself, we've added links to Microsoft Explorer and Netscape Navigator. You may download the latest versions of either of these browsers from here.

In order to read Adobe Acrobat documents, you will need to download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. To get the latest version of the reader, go to the Adobe website using the link on the left.

We also recommend that you have Javascript and Java enabled in your browser.
