Blackboard Support

BlackboardBlackboard is the courseware management system that the University of Maryland Baltimore uses for web-enhanced and web-based courses. 

Users can access Blackboard from the website http://blackboard.umaryland.edu/. 

Users log into Blackboard using their myUMid and password. Click here for more information about myUM Authentication.

Errors on Opening Files


If you experience an error when opening a file in Blackboard, please click on the code you're seeing for more information.


Problems with Blackboard


If you experience problems logging in with your myUMid or password contact the IT Help Desk.

If you experience problems performing a task or accessing information:

  • Click here to run a script.
  • Copy the result of that script to a Word document (ALT + PrintScrn to copy the screen to the clipboard & Ctrl + V to paste to the Word document)
  • Save the Word document and send as an attachment to help@umaryland.edu.
