Blackboard is the courseware management system at the University of Maryland, Baltimore for web-enhanced and web-based courses.
Blackboard will remove its original mobile app, Mobile Learn, from app stores on Aug. 1, 2017. Support will end on Aug. 31, 2017, for all North America customers.
Currently, Blackboard is unavailable on the first Tuesday of each month from 10 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday (Eastern time) for system maintenance. Starting Aug. 1, 2017, the scheduled monthly Blackboard maintenance window will change to 9 p.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday (Eastern time and remaining on the first Tuesday of the month).
Additional downtimes for extended maintenance or significant upgrades will be scheduled around semester changes.

On May 20, 2017, Blackboard was upgraded to the Q4 2016 release of Learn 9.1.
