Blackboard

BlackboardBlackboard is the courseware management system that the University of Maryland uses for web-enhanced and web-based courses. 

Users can access Blackboard from the website https://blackboard.umaryland.edu/. 

Users log into Blackboard using their UMID and UM Password. Click here for more information about UM Authentication.

Blackboard has been upgraded over Winter Break 2012 to version 9.1 SP10.

Problems with Blackboard


If you experience problems logging in with your myUMid or password contact the IT Help Desk.

If you experience problems performing a task or accessing information:

  • Click here to run a script.
  • Copy the result of that script to a Word document (ALT + PrintScrn to copy the screen to the clipboard & Ctrl + V to paste to the Word document)
  • Save the Word document and send as an attachment to help@umaryland.edu.
