Administered annually by the National Association for Health & Fitness, NEHFD is a national health observance, created to promote the benefits of physical activity for individuals through their worksites. | In recognition of National Employee Health and Fitness Day, the UMB Athletic Center will be offering, for the 10th straight year, a 20% discount off membership rates (3 months, 6 months and 1-Year) to all UMB and UMMS faculty and staff. This special rate will only be recognized on Wednesday, May 16 from 6:00am to 11:00pm. You must have a valid UMB or UMMS ID in order to receive the discount. Only checks or cash will be accepted. So do not miss out. |  |
 | The UMB Athletic Center will also be sponsoring fitness walks Wednesday, May 16 (raindate Thursday, May 17). Walks will start of the Greene Street side of the Health Sciences and Human Services Library (across from the hospital on the corner of Greene and Lombard) from 11:00am to 1:30pm. All walkers will receive either a T-shirt, hand bag or a free bag of goodies and their choice of light refreshments. In case on inclement weather please call the Athletic Center. A decision regarding postponing the walks till the following day will be made at 10:00am. |  |
