Orientation

The UAC Fitness Staff offers free fitness equipment orientations to all students and UAC members.  Equipment orientations will help you learn the proper form and technique for the selectorized weight equipment and how to use that elliptical, bike, stair machine or treadmill that you are unsure of.  We will also provide you with the American College of Sports Medicine's recommendations for resistance and cardiovascular training.

Equipment orientations are offered at any time, however, we strongly encourage you to schedule the orientation before 5:00pm or after 8:00pm.  Orientations will last about 1 1/2 hour.  You must wear athletic shoes, shorts or sweats and a shirt.  It is also suggested that you bring a water bottle with you.

registration form and physical activity readiness questionniare must be completed before starting the orientation.  You may either download and bring them with you or you can get them from the fitness staff at the UAC.
