Step-by-Step Instructions
If you are having difficulty registering an email address, telephone number, or mobile device, use this page as a guide.
Register an email address
- Login to UM Alerts using your myUMid and password. You will be forwarded to the e2campus services webpage.
- Under the "EMAIL" heading, enter the email address you wish to register in the form field next to "Email Address."
- Click "Add Email."
- You will be promted with a message that says a validation email has been sent to the address you are registering.
- Check the email account you are registering. An email from e2Campus will be in your inbox. Open it and click "Validate." The email address is now registered.
- If you did not receive an email from e2Campus, click on "Resend Validation Email" in the e2Campus webpage and repeat steo 5.
Register a telephone number
- Login to UM Alerts using your myUMid and password. You will be forwarded to the e2campus services webpage.
- Under the "VOICE" heading, enter the phone number you wish to register in the form field next to "Phone."
- Click "Add Voice."
- The phone number is now registered.
Sign up for text messaging
- Login to UM Alerts using your myUMid and password. You will be forwarded to the e2campus services webpage.
- Under the "SMS (Text Messaging)" heading, enter the mobile number you wish to register in the form field next to "Phone."
- Choose the mobile carrier and then click "Add SMS."
- You will be promted with a message that says a validation code has been sent to the mobile device you are registering.
- Check the text messages on the mobile device you are registering. You will see a message from e2Campus with a validation code. Make a note of this code.
- Back on the e2Campus webpage, enter the validation code in the form field next to "Validation Code."
- Click "Validate." Your mobile device is now registered.
- If you did not receive a text message from e2Campus, click on "Resend Validation SMS" in the e2Campus webpage and repeat steo 5-7.
