Meet and Confer Guidelines for Graduate Assistants and Adjunct Faculty

In June 2012, the University System of Maryland adopted Meet and Confer guidelines in an effort to improve the status of Graduate Assistants (GA) and Adjunct Faculty (AF) by providing them with opportunities to voice their concerns and to share in decision-making processes that affect them.

Accordingly, the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) established advisory committees for GAs and AF to meet with the University’s leadership including the president, the chief academic and research officer/senior vice president, and the associate vice president for Academic Affairs.
