The Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) includes the Graduate School, Campus Life Services, the Health Sciences and Human Services Library (HS/HSL), the Reserach Integrity Office, and Geriatrics and Gerontology Education and Research Program (GGEAR).

Externally, Academic Affairs is the point-of-contact with University System of Maryland (USM) and, through USM, other regulatory and legislative bodies on issues relating to faculty affairs, student affairs, and academic policy. Internally, it is the point-of-contact with the University's six professional schools – Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Social Work – on faculty and student affairs, and academic policy. It also provides traditional faculty and academic services.
