Academic Affairs

Academic Affairs supports the undergraduate, graduate and professional degree programs offered by the University of Maryland Baltimore's seven schools - The Dental School, Graduate School, School of Law, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, and School of Social Work. It serves as liaison to the University System of Maryland (USM) and State higher educational agencies such as the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) on academic issues. Typical academic issues include program review and the coordination, dissemination, and maintenance of policies affecting faculty and students.

Through Institutional Research and Planning the office collects and disseminates comprehensive data and information to assist in strategic planning.
