During our Open House, we invite you to engage with faculty, students, and alumni representing various academic programs, departments, and organizations who will be available to answer your questions about UMB’s curriculum and campus life, and career opportunities.
Throughout the day, you will see the diversity of a university that reflects and celebrates the rich multicultural character of the Baltimore-Washington region.
Check-In (starts at 8 a.m.)
Welcome Breakfast (8:45 to 9:30 a.m.)
University President Jay A. Perman, MD, will kick-off our Open House with welcoming remarks and a complimentary continental breakfast, located at the Southern Management Corporation Campus Center at 621 W. Lombard St.
Concurrent Information Sessions and Campus Tours (9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
Faculty, staff, and current UMB students will answer questions about student life, University diversity, community involvement, global opportunities, financial aid, and student services.
Join us for a walking tour of our historic campus. Founded in 1807, UMB is the founding campus of the University System of Maryland. Located in West Baltimore, we are walking distance from Camden Yards, M&T Bank Stadium, and Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The University is a 61-acre research and technology complex, with a total of 65 buildings, including the SMC Campus Center, and the Health Sciences & Human Services Library.
Lunch (12:30 to 1:30 p.m.)
Lunch and afternoon programming will be held in the SMC Campus Center. Lunch will be provided.
Table-Talk Sessions (12:30 to 1:30 p.m.)
Stop by a booth during lunch and meet representatives from student organizations, University services, Baltimore housing, and exam preparation companies.
Area of Interest Information Sessions (1:45 p.m.)
Spend the afternoon learning about your chosen area of interest. Our six professional schools and Graduate School will each hold an information session where attendees will learn about the individual school's application process, program(s) offered, and dual-degree opportunities. Prospective students will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Staff from admissions, financial aid, and student services will be present to provide details on admission requirements, application procedures, financial assistance, as well as educational programs, cultural and social activities, and leadership opportunities.
